The Brazilian Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuel Agency (ANP, in Portuguese) published the authorization for the expansion of Oleoplan Nordeste’s productive capacity in Friday’s edition of the Official Daily Gazette. The industrial plant, located in Iraquara, Bahia, previously had a productive capacity of 129.6 million liters of biodiesel per year and now expects as much as 180 million liters – a near 40% increase.
This is the first expansion of the plant since its inauguration in 2012. With this, the plant rises 8 positions in the national rank and now comes in as the 19 th largest biodiesel plant in Brazil.
