On July 29, 2025, Oleoplan Nordeste held a landmark event at its industrial unit in Iraquara, Bahia, bringing together authorities, business partners, cooperatives, and representatives of family farming.
During the meeting, topics such as the impact of biodiesel on the state’s economic development, the productive inclusion of familiar agriculture within the scope of the Social Biofuel Seal, and expectations for the Fuel of the Future Law were discussed. Among the highlights, the advances towards expanding biodiesel production capacity – from 1,300 to 1,650 m³/day – were celebrated, consolidating Bahia as an important supplier of biofuel for the entire Northeast region.
In the current investment cycle, more than R$ 300 million will be invested in industrial expansion and optimization for the 2025/2026 biennium. Oleoplan Nordeste also maintains its ongoing commitment to familiar agriculture, significantly increasing its purchases of diversified raw materials within the state of Bahia.
